Ormy vs Tiimo: which ADHD app do you actually need?

Tiimo plans your day. Ormy makes sure you don't forget what's in it. An honest comparison from the person who built Ormy.

I built Ormy, so I'm not neutral. Everything about Tiimo here comes from Tiimo's own App Store page and website, checked on 6 October 2026. If something has changed, email me and I'll fix it.

What is Tiimo?

Tiimo is a visual planner and to-do app made for people with ADHD and other neurodivergent brains. You lay your day out as a colourful visual schedule, and its AI co-planner helps turn big goals into small next steps.

It also has a focus timer, Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets, and it syncs with Apple Calendar and Reminders. It runs on iPhone, Android and the web.

It's very good at what it does. Apple named Tiimo iPhone App of the Year at the 2025 App Store Awards.

Tiimo is free to download, with a Tiimo Pro subscription for the full set of features. Prices vary by country.

What is Ormy?

Ormy is a reminder app for people with ADHD who forget things even when they've set a reminder. It isn't a planner you sit down and fill in. You tell it once, and it comes to you.

  • It reminds you until it's done. Ormy nudges you every few minutes, for up to an hour, until you tick it off.
  • Still ignoring it? It rings. For the things that really can't slip, Ormy can ring a real alarm, even on silent or in a Focus. (Needs iOS 26 or later.)
  • Big dates get warnings first. A birthday gets warnings from two weeks out, so there's time to buy the card.
  • Where, not just when. A reminder can wait until you're actually at the shop.
  • It's on your lock screen. You can tick reminders off right there, without opening anything.

The real difference: planning vs remembering

Most ADHD apps help you plan. That works if you look at the plan. A lot of us don't.

I downloaded Tiimo and Structured and had a look. They're planners: you open them and build your day. But planning was never my problem. I'd set a reminder, swipe it away, and forget anyway. I wanted something that would keep on top of me, not notify me once and move on.

Kyle Ormesher, founder

Tiimo asks you to come to it and plan your day. Ormy comes to you, and keeps coming back.

Ormy does show your day too, as a timeline you can drag reminders around on. But it's built around reminding you, not planning for you.

Pick Ormy if:

Use both if you plan your day in Tiimo, and want the few things that really can't slip to chase you in Ormy.

Does Ormy replace Tiimo? No. Ormy isn't a planner. It's for remembering the things you'd otherwise forget, and it works fine next to a planner.
